The Merida Diana DG15-BKGACES Electro Acoustic Guitar combines a grand auditorium body shape with a solid cedar top, mahogany back & sides, and a Merida/Fishman Standard Preamp system.

Construction
Although its down to the player’s own opinion, the Merida Diana DG15-BKGACES guitar’s shape; a grand auditorium, is generally considered to be comfortable to play, especially when sitting down, due to a waist that is thinner than that of a standard dreadnought. This body shape is teamed up with a cutaway, to give easy to the upper frets, which is even more of a feature in this style of body, as its generally suited to fingerpickers, though it also crosses quite happily into strumming styles.
Matched to the purpose of the guitar the Merida DG15-BKGACES features a solid cedar top, which, with its quick response, is a favourite amongst finger style players. Tonally the cedar offers a warm, balanced sound. Giving a well-rounded tonal palette the mahogany back & sides add a bright, accentuated sound to bring out the mid-ranges. This also gives the Merida Diana DG15-BKGACES its high velocity of sound; making it excellent for both light and percussive playing.
Joining the specially selected body woods of the Merida Diana DG 15-BKGACES Acoustic Guitar is a mahogany neck topped by a rosewood fingerboard.
Nut/Saddle & Tuners
Another notable feature of the Merida DG15-BKGACES is the inclusion of a Graphtech Black Tusq XL self-lubricating nut. Made from a highly resonant material this precision-engineered nut couples the string’s vibrations to the neck to bring out the richness of every note you play, while the PTFE lubrication impregnated through the nut keeps you from going out of tune. Paired perfectly with this is a set of tuners crafted by Der Jung, whose fifty years of manufacturing guitar heads sees them being relied on by Yamaha, amongst other big names.
Electronics
Allowing you to amplify your sound without tainting your tone the Merida Diana DG15-BKGACES Electro Acoustic has been outfitted with a Merida/Fishman Standard Preamp system.
In addition to giving you the capability to to an amp the Merida/Fishman Standard Preamp system is also set up with a number of useful features. From the guitar you can control Master volume, Treble, and Bass, along with having a Phase Switch. There is also a built-in tuner, with LED indicator.
