Z.O.D.

Z.O.D. (in full “Zittesje OnDeug”) was first formed back in 1996 by Marcel “Benante” Coenen to be the one and only S.O.D. tribute band at that time over here.

It was supposed to be a one show project but they did three and that was the story of Z.O.D.

Eight years went by…

In 2006 former band members Jupke “Milano” and Jo “Lilker” felt the itch to get back on stage again. In Bas “Ian” (MORNING) and Robert “Benante” they found a new guitar player and drummer. In 2010 Robert “Benante” unfortunately is about to leave the band and so we are currently looking for a serious replacement.

With all the members complete now, the band started to rehearse and soon after they hit the stage. In 2007 they recorded their promo called “KILL YOURSELF” which was spread ever since 2008. This resulted in highlights so far, as being the opening act for the American PANTERA tribute band TRENDKILL, playing with the Amsterdam-based metal band CELICE, the Scottish band TEN TONNE DOZER, co-headlining on a Belgian festival together with amongst others: IMPERIOUS REX (US), MARTYR, CALIBERN and THE GUARDIAN. They’ve blasted away the audience at the “MUSKETEERS OF METAL FEST” at the DYNAMO in Eindhoven. And last but not least they’ve supported the American band WARBRINGER who soon after played at the Graspop Metal Meeting festival in Belgium in2009.
